Allison Stokke was born March 22, 1989, on the coast of Newport Beach California United States. Stokke is one of the most famous and wealthy Pole vaulters. The picture she posted at her 17th birthday track meet 2007 went viral, and she was transformed into an official Pole Vaulter. Instagram and Twitter has seen her gain a large social following. Stokke is an athlete and has a similar track record similar to Jessica Ennis Hill. According to the Los Angeles Times, among other media outlets, stated that Stokke did not seek or supported such attention. The authors of their work Technology Power and Culture in the Network Society Brett Hutchins and David Rowe linked Stokke's case to that of American soccer players Alex Morgan and Hope Solo female athletes who were treated as fetishized and were seen as having their images framed sexually in a way that, as the authors stated, devalued their sporting achievements. The authors also pointed out that Stokke's comments on social media tend to be insulting, and attribute to the sexualization process to women. Other women drew a parallel with the celebrations of Brandi's sports bra after she won the FIFA Women's World Cup in 1999. They claimed that conversations about appearance were a distraction from sporting events specifically for female athletes. A reporter who was on the Californian website for track and field snapped photos of Stokke in New York at the beginning of 2007. Images were shared online. The image was republished on With Leather a sports blog with a large male fanbase noting the attractiveness of the 17-year-old Stokke under the heading Pole Vaulting is Sexy Barely legal. Matt Ufford was threatened by the photographer with legal action should he not remove this image. However, the article, received significant media attention and was then published on several websites. Stokke quickly earned a following after a dedicated website was made with photos of Stokke in action at the pole vault. The images then spread across social media, reaching hundreds of fans on the internet. Alyce Caron..............Alyce Caron was born in Houston in the United States in February 1957. Caron wanted to complete her high school education in Florida. Then, upon graduation, she made the decision in 1974, to alter her profession by taking on an internship. Alyce is proud to be the sister of a college professor. The family of her mother is very extremely supportive of her sister who works as a professor at a university.
